It’s been ages since I’ve even thought about this tale, but I came across it again on one of the many forums I visit semi-frequently. I remember the film made about this story, but unlike The Amityville Horror it never made it into paranormal pop-culture history. If this story were re-investigated 36 years later, would the same conclusion be reached?
The investigation on August 22, 1974, in Culver City California was to be like any other one Dr. Barry Taff had done. Believing that this would be an open and shut case they showed up at Doris Bither’s house. Not expecting much. Little did they know this would be one of the biggest cases in the annals of paranormal history.
