Goatman’s Bridge

It’s interesting how some stories spring from legend, yet when you take the time to do research a more plausible story comes to light. Case in point: the Goatman’s Bridge (Old Alden Bridge) outside of Denton, Texas.

The legend:

There was a lot of Satanic practices in the area many years ago and during one of their ceremonies, a half-man, half-goat beast was conjured up, dubbed the goatman. Supposedly if you squint your eyes you can see goatman. It’s also said that if you turn off your lights and honk 3 times the goatman will appear.

The more plausible, yet still unsettling story:

  1. Sometimes the scariest stories involve human beings..and the horrible things they can do to each other.

  2. There have been reports for years of Will-o’-the-wisp in that area. I have never experienced any of this. However, given that, I am sure that there is paranormal energy there.
